PSD Learning

PSD learning was started on the 13th of June 2008. It migrated
from a sub-domain of blogspot.com under the name
Tutorials4Photoshop which was started a month earlier. This
change was due to Tutorials4Photoshop being being so
successful in the first month and to provide you people with a
better experience and some cool extra features.

Ross Aitken, the owner and main editor of PSD learning is
currently studying design in Glasgow. He has a great interest
in computer graphics and writes tutorials in order to share
his knowledge of this subject with others.

PSHero.com

Hi. I’m Hero, and this is my website.

I’m a surfer, photographer and graphic designer currently
splitting my time between the waves in Southern California and
the deep powder snow in Park City, Utah. When I’m not surfing,
snowboarding or behind the lens of my camera I write Photoshop
tutorials for you to enjoy.

In a former life I was a young and ambitious designer,
climbing the corporate ladder two rungs at a time while
simultaneously selling my creative soul for pennies on the
dollar. Don’t get me wrong, I loved every minute of those 80
hour work weeks. But after years of pandering to pot smoking
executives and grabbing my ankles for a long and distinguished
list of demanding clients I woke up to discover that it wasn’t
making me happy anymore. So I got out, moved on. Took some
time to travel, surf, and re-discover.

These days I design when a project inspires me, I write
tutorials when I feel creative, and I do other things when I
don’t. So if a week goes by without a new tutorial, just know
that I’m not trying to neglect you or deny your insatiable
thirst for all things Photoshop… I just wasn’t feelin’ it. But
one day soon I’m sure I’ll be feelin’ it again and on that day
I’ll shower you with Photoshop lovin’ all day long.

Tutorial9

…provides tutorials encompassing graphic design, website
development, and photography. All lessons offered are entirely
free, and community participation is encouraged.

Tutorial9 is actually very young – and it’s grown much faster
than I had anticipated. I’ve always has a strong passion for
teaching and design, and several years ago I started writing
tutorials off and on for a website called “GreyCobra”. There
was a whole lot wrong with that project, and it eventually
faded away into nothingness. In late 2007, a good friend and I
started talking about building another similar site,
originally with the name “Photo9″, but during our conversation
we decided that we should give it room to expand in the future
– appropriately naming it Tutorial9 (in homage to the Phrase
Cloud9).\” -David Leggett

The Missing CD From the O\’Reilly Manuals

I was a big fan of O\’Reilly manuals, and I hunt them down at
garage sales, but often the CD that comes with the manuals are
gone.  Now it\’s true that in today\’s internet age, data is but
a wifi connection away, there are times when there are no
signals and you still need to learn.  If your one of those
type of people, this link will take you to where you can
download all the files associated with the book as a .zip-
based compressed file. [My Personal Notes]

These are the free and shareware programs described in The
Missing Manuals. Click the letter that corresponds to your
book title to find links to the Missing CD, example files, and
related downloads.

We inadvertently included a reference to the \”Missing CD\” page
in some editions of FrontPage 2003: The Missing Manual. This
book doesn\’t have any accompanying practice files, online Web
links, or downloadable shareware. Sorry for the confusion.
